Horse Studs
Cambridge (10 mins drive from the Lodge) is internationally renowned for its horse breeding. Many of the studs in the area open their stables to visitors. Arguably the most famous horse of all times was Sir Tristram who was born and raised on the Cambridge Stud the largest stud of its kind in the world. Lake Karapiro Lodge has named one of its upper floor suites the Sir Tristram Room in honor of this legendary horse.
